BRUTES OF BRISTLEBROOK, BOOK 4
COMING NOVEMBER 19th
But by the time this is through, he will be at mine . . .
HEATHER
So our raid on the Sinners failed, Sam is at the end of a rope, and Alastair has taken me and Bentley hostage. It should be a bad day. The worst, even.
But my “worst day” already happened.
Five months, two days, and about three hours ago, Alastair put a bullet in Tommy’s head. He broke him open. Took him apart. He stole Tommy away before I could put him back together. Before I could breathe, or blink, or even start to tell him all the things I was so, so overdue to say.
He made Tommy vanish . . . and with him, every part of me that was worth loving vanished, too.
So I don’t care if Bentley wants to bat eyes at Mateo to get his ass out of here. I don’t care how many Sinners are breathing down our necks, and I don’t care how Alastair is looking at me. I’m burning this place to the ground with all of us inside it, if that’s what this takes.
Because this was only ever going to end one way—with Alastair dead at my feet.
ALASTAIR
She’s my favorite kind of agony.
And she just might kill me for it.
***
This is *not* a why choose romance, it’s M/F true enemies-to-lovers between Heather & Alastair, and a gentler M/M rivals-to-lovers with Bentley & Mateo. It is a slower burn than the main trilogy with high angst and deep, deep yearning. Heather especially needs to rip out Alastair’s thumping heart for all the depths of grief he’s given her . . .
The events of this book follow on from the end of Entangled (book 2 of the Brutes of Bristlebrook series), and it acts as a shadow or “parallel” book to Entwined (book 3 of the Brutes of Bristlebrook series)—only this time, it’s the villains’ side of the story. To that end, while not mandatory, Sinners of Cyanide is best read as book 4, after the events of the main trilogy, for readers to have full context.
Important Information
The Sinners of Cyanide is out in all formats on November 19th, 2026! Expect complex characters, shifting 1st person POVs, lots of laughs, queer love, and to encounter material that readers may find sensitive.
This book intimately deals with grief after losing a partner. While Heather’s journey through an apocalyptic world is fierce and fantastical, her journey through loss is heavy and deeply felt. This book deals with very real pain and her management of that raw, endless wound. Because of this, Sinners is not a fast burn romance and doesn’t have the same level of spice as the main trilogy. Just a man who can’t stop breaking over the ways he broke her . . .

You’re the worst person I’ve ever met.” “You’re the best person I've ever known.”
I should have knocked.” The images won’t leave my retinas, no matter how hard I squeeze them. “Mateo, I understand that now. I’m sorry. I should have knocked.”
